I rode in the 2008 DNR ride for the first time and plan to do it again in 2009. The ride in general is very well supported by the DNR. Snacks and water at all the SAG stops, very nice people (riders and staff both.) I highly recomend the ride for anyone, just make sure you train well for it. I camped all week, it was a blast. Pack lite. As far as transportation, the DNR provided shuttles (for a minimal cost) from one end to the other last year before and after the ride. So park at whichever end is closest to where you live. I believe in 2009 they will be going from Clinton to St. Charles.
