In July 2008, we rode Amtrak from Kirkwood to Sedalia, having made arrangements with Victory Shuttle to drive us and our bikes to Clinton to begin our trip. When we arrived in Sedalia, we called Crystal, our driver (we'd called the day before to confirm, which is a good idea) and she picked us up in less than 30 minutes. She was a good driver, a very engaging young woman, and we enjoyed our conversation with her on the short drive to the trail's beginning.
