I was wondering how to get from the Jefferson trail head to the northbound bike land to cross the bridge?

There is a google map on this site of that will show you the area. Go to the Katy Trail Home, select side trails, select North Jefferson spur. You can take Kathy Rd from the trail head, left on Oil Well Rd, Left on Nuter Rd - cross over Hwy 63/54 turn right on ramp and keep to the left of the road being mindfull of oncoming traffic. You can also subsitute the side trail to the left of Kathy Rd which will take you the the pavillion parking lot (next to Nuter road) then follow the remaining directions from there.

Correction - the side trail is to the right of Kathy Rd.
