Im planning to ride the entire Katy Trail. But Im confused, does it end at Machens or St. Charles??? Ive ridden the trail from Weldon to St. Charles before....whats the trail like beyond St. Charles, and should I go to Machens to consider that Ive done the whole trail? Please fill me in.

The Katy continues about 3-miles north of the St Charles trailhead, where one encounters a grassy unfinished railroad bed, which appears to be the end of the trail. However, most of the Machens section is completed beyond that point except for that 3-mile section of grassy, cowpath like riding. Supposedly, that unfinished section is passable although not really open yet.
