The Biking lane across the Missouri River bridge is now closed due to construction beginning on the new pedestrian and bicyclist attachment .

They are building a $6,000,000 bicylcle/pedestrian attachment to the bridge that will make it safe for bicylcles and pedestrians to cross the Missouri River bridge into Jefferson City. This is a good thing. Once this is built, no one will need to worry about whether it is safe to cross the bridge into Jefferson City on a bicyle.

Mark Allchorn owner of the Hartsburg Cycle Depot in Jefferson City was a leader in getting the new pathway across the Missouri River in Jefferson City. Mark and Pam are good people to know, so drop in and say hello. He also really knows bikes and how to build or repair them.
