Since posting my questions about dogs, I was able to talk with the owner of Jim's Bar & Grill in Tebbetts. He said (1) the dogs were hauled off by Rangers some months ago. If anyone has a problem dogs, report it and they will be taken care of. So apparently dogs are no longer a problem; (2) He lives close to his Bar & Grill and is usually around. If he's not in the Bar & Grill, give him a call at 573-295-6100 and he will come over and fix something for you to eat. If you call in advance, he'll make a note of the day you are supposed to be there and put it on his calendar. However, you still may need to call him when you arrive.

We went through Tebbetts on July 4th weekend and did encounter a very aggressive dog just on the west side of town. As long as we kept riding....he kept coming at us like he was going to tear us apart. Perhaps he has since been taken care of.
