You might consider the distance between Boonville and North Jefferson.

The St Charles to Hermann would be another, although slightly more that 100 miles round trip.

I also recommend catching the train and riding back. Lot's of fun. We took the train from Washington to Jeff City and took two days to get back, stopping in Rhineland.

The next trip I'm taking is Rhineland to Augusta. There's so much in the Augusta area.

I've done the North Jefferson to McBaine (and Columbia) several times, and gone from N. Jefferson to Weldon Springs. The ride from Rocheport to N. Jefferson is lovely, and from Hermann to Weldon Springs was good, too. N.Jefferson to Hermann is dull, dull dull, though.

Rocheport to North Jefferson City, hands down best.
Hermann to Weldon Springs is next best.
