Looking to run the trail from East to West

I would like to run as much of the trail from east to west as possible without a shuttle. I would like to park my car as far west as possible, take the train as far east as possible, then run back. I will be toting an all terrain stroller with my supplies. Can anyone help me with the best and closest stations to the trail?
Any other insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

A couple of weeks ago, I intended to run the entire trail east to west as well. I had a friend running with me, and my dad with a bike and trailer for supplies. After 2 days and 85 miles, my leg was swollen to the point that I rented a bike for the final 160 miles. I learned a lot on this adventure. One of the biggest things I said I would do differently if I either bike or run end-to-end again is I would go west to east every time. I know many may not like this, but the trail from Sedalia to Clinton is very boring and I would rather push through that section early on when the excitement of the trip is carrying me rather than on the last day. I know coming from Omaha it would be better to park west, but I think the direction is a big enough deal to be worth the extra drive.

Park you car at Sedalia. Take the train east to Hermann, then ride back to Sedalia. There are train stops farther east than Hermann (Washington, Kirkwood, and St. Louis) but accessing the trail from these stops presents challenges that may not make it worth it to you.
