I check this site regularly and find myself disappointed in the lack of events listed. There has to be more events happening on the Katy than are posted (1). Why is this?

Thanks.

There is the occasional Trailnet or charity ride. I believe there used to be a music festival associated with a ride. However, I don't feel the Katy is condusive to "events.". The trail is narrow. Last time we stumbled into a trailnet ride, we couldn't get out of there fast enough--too congested.

Check the small towns along the trail for festivals such as winery, pumpkin, something about catfish? Of course this also drive up hotel prices, which we also try to avoid.

Yes, the event listing had grown a bit thin lately. I mostly rely on people to send in event info, which I then post on the site. But this morning I searched around the web and pulled together several events which are now listed. If you know of any other upcoming events on, along, or near the Katy Trail, just let me know.

The 20th Annual Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival will be held on October 8 and 9 if we are not under water (flooded by the Missouri River). We usually have 50,000 people attend the two day festival. Everyone is invited.
