We're only going to have a couple of days to spend on the trail. Which stretch of the trail would you suggest we ride?

I would choose to go between Rocheport & Jefferson City. It's a scenic area. I haven't been there this year, so I'm not sure what the conditions are like, with the flooding and all. Have a great trip!

Thanks, Julie, I appreciate the suggestion. So is there anyone out there who can tell me the condition of the trail between Rocheport and Jefferson City?

I agree. I don't know specific conditions at the moment, but I think the 25 miles from Rocheport to Hartsburg is one of the prettiest sections of the KATY.

We just rode the trail for the first time from Rocheport east to the 159 mile marker on Thursday, 9/15, and found the trail in good shape. A few rough spots, a pot hole here and there and some puddles but nothing unreasonable. Considering the proximity to the river, it was in great shape. More tree coverage than we were expecting, so take a light jacket & some gloves. Can't wait to go back when the leaves start changing!!!
