I biked from Jeff City to McBaine and back Sunday and found a new gem on the trail. There's a faded overgrown sign at Wilton that says there's a store just off the trail. I'd seen the sign before but it always looked like a gamble.
Let me tell you that the store there is for real. Modern it was not, but it had lots of atmosphere, cold drinks, and friendly service.
