I've never ridden the Katy trail before, but my cousin from Washington state will be riding from KC to STL this week. He also has never ridden it, and he asked me if the current river levels affect the trail at all? Can anyone shed light on this question? Thanks!!

Water levels along the Missouri have been dropping for a month. You shouldn't have any problems. Even during the high water times this summer, only a few short areas were affected by the water.

Looks like a great week for a ride.
