We arranged for Brett Dufur, author of The Complete Katy Trail Guidebook, to do a brief "history lesson" with us about the region, the river, Lewis & Clark, etc, and it was great. Brett picked up our group at our B & B in Rocheport and drove us to the A-Frame winery where we sipped wine and enjoyed the view of the sun setting over the river while he told us interesting stuff about the area. The only drawback was that we didn't allow enough time before our dinner reservation. If you think about doing something like this, plan on at least 2 hrs.
