TW, you can click on ~Katy Trail Maps~ above and then click on ~Kirkwood Train Station to Katy Trail~, there are several options that people have submitted. Being in Metro St.Louis, there is going to be traffic any route you take, but maybe those suggestions will help you choose the route with the least of it.
There is at least one B&B in St. Charles that will shuttle you from Kirkwood, an option that appeals to me more than riding in the traffic. I believe it is the Lococo House. Show Me Shuttle, is also list as being in the St. Louis area. Good luck and enjoy your ride.
