Could some of you please comment on the "How to" of using Amtrak on the Katy. I would like to get on the Katy in Clinton, ride to the nearest Amtrak station, and hitch a ride East to near St. Louis, then ride West for a couple days. Where can I find train schedules? Are the times listed correct? Where do I get tickets? Any such information on how to practially do this in as easy a fashion as possible would be greatly appreciated.

From the home page here, scroll down to "Riding Amtrak along the Katy Trail" Lots of good info there.

Google Amtrak for their website to find schedules, buy tickets, etc.
