Avoid Spring Creek Winery

After riding up the hill to the winery in 100+ heat and buying a bottle of overpriced wine, they wanted to charge us $2/bottle to refill our water bottles. Seriously?!?We also bought a small hard sausage ($6) and a small cup of cheddar cheese cubes ($5), only to find out that if we acutally wanted to cut the sausage and have something to put it on, we would have to spend another $1.85 for a "picnic pack" consisting of two small paper plates, two plastic forks and a plastic knife.

Appreciate this information. It allows me to make choices when I travel the KATY.

Lisa, why don't you open a business next to them and charge $1 to refill water bottles and whatever else you can to undercut their prices? Let us know how your business does.

Do you mean SUGAR Creek Winery, near Defiance? I so I will put in the "don't go there" file.

Never had a problem with Sugar Creek but I go there to drink a little wine and soak up the scenery. If you think they are bad try stopping at Mount Pleasant.....

Sorry, yes, I meant SUGAR Creek. Also stopped at Mt Pleasant, and they couldn't have been nicer (and didn't charge us for plates and utensils!). Food was excellent, and much more reasonably priced.
