I was wondering if the Bar and Grill next to the bike shelter is open. We should be passing through Tebbets on Aug 10, maybe. We wish Jim a happy retirement, The biking sisters from Illinois.

We were in Tebbets on July 4th and the bar to the right of the hostel was open.

Jim is open on Mon Wed and Sunday, why not Fri and Sat u got me!! He is alittle strange if you ask me!!

Jim saved us, our first year on the Katy. The temps were over a 100 degrees and we thought there was a store. We had nothing to eat. We could ride 8 miles each way to get food or just stick it out to the morning. Jim came by and checked on us. He made us some food and set us up with some sandwiches for the morning. I cannot say enough about how great he is.

Just wonder how the stay is at the Hostel in Tebbetts. We are planning a ride from Sedalia to St. Charles and may stay there overnight.

I would skip tebbets and go to Mokane bar and grill very nice ppl and the food was awesome.The owners are very helpful for whatever you need
