I noticed some riding the entire trail in late March this year. I did it in 2010 and was somewhat lucky for rain and temperatures. I also checked weather underground (underground.com) for historical temperatures and precipitation 5 years back for an idea of what I was going to see. Usually averages 40's-50s with some rain. It's fun in the spring with different viewing than summer and fall. Definitely less people on the trail. Have a great time.
