Would like to ride from Washington to Jeff City and take train back in one day. Has anyone given that a shot? How early did you leave?

Worst case scenario is returning to Washington after dark. You would not be able to start riding until noon. You absolutely positively do NOT want to ride 47 or the bridge at Washington after dark. Really don't want to ride it during the day for that matter. If you could arrange a late arrival shuttle from Marthasville or Dutzow then not so bad.
