My son and I will be riding the KT in June and he wants to camp all 4 nights. Any suggestions on camping around Jeff City?

I think Hartsburg or Tebbetts will be your closest choices with camping.

I haven't verified this but this is a possibility.

"Just to update this thread there are primitive camping sited at the north Jeff city site. When you walk to the river you should see a sign for a trail. The city put in 4 or 5 primitive sites along the river. There should be a honour box at the parking lot. $5 per night

The camp sites are at noren access along the nature trail. Just follow the road to the boat ramp and you should see a sign for the trail. There are three color coded camp sites. Each has a table, hook for lantetn, and pad with fire ring and grill. There is a info board at the trailhead. imgur.com/a/LN8TN
