I'm sure this has been answered before but I don't have time to read all the comments so:
1) What is the best tire size to put on a mountain bike/hybrid for the Katy Trail?
2) Are there problems finding shuttles on Sundays in the McKittrick area back to Boonville area?

All tire sizes from about 32c - 42c are appropriate for the trail. Probably best to arrange your shuttle before hand, use the Trip Planner link above to get the list of possible shuttle services and start calling.
