I'm going to KC via Amtrak from STL next weekend (Labor Day friday) - what's the best way to get from the KC Amtrak station down to Clinton to start the ride? Also, what's my best lodging option near Clinton? Thanks!

Actually, it looks like Warrensburg is the nearest Amtrak stop to Clinton. So what is the best way to go from Warrensburg to Clinton? Taxi? Is there some sort of shuttle?

What about taking the train to Sedalia, then doing an out and back to Clinton? That is 35 miles one way, or a good one day ride for me. I'd rather ride the trail than in a taxi. Just throwing that out there as an option. Cheaper. Safer. More riding.

I used Central Cab Co. in Warrensburg it was around $45.00 they only have one van so you will need to call in advance.

I would just ride my bike from Sedalia to Clinton.
