Biked today from Rocheport to McKittrick. Had several flat tireson the stretch from Jeff City east. Apparently there are thorns hidden in the trail debris. No way around it. Bring at least two spare tubes ( I only had one) and a fresh patch kit. Also, there are few places to buy cold drinks--mokane is one. Pack exyra gatorades/water. I had to ride last 15 miles on flat front tire because my tubes had tears by stem--can't be fixed.
