Good trail, the first couple miles into Columbia from Mcbaine were rather boring, but very scenic after that -- I seemed longer that 8.8 to me. Downtown was nice, lots of shops and food. There was a hotel, but not in my price range so I took a cab out to the Howard Johnson's very nice staff there, decent hotel and right next to a grocery store and a couple food places, a mile or so down the road there's a wal mart, hy vee and shopping.
