baymont or capital plaza hotel. Are both close to trail and nice?

Trek on 10/3/2013 11:34:45 AM:
No experience with the Baymont, but have stayed several times at the Capital Plaza. Both are about 2.9 from the North Jefferson trailhead.

We've stayed on at the Capital Plaza when we had the tandem with us. It doesn't fit well in elevators so they let us lock it up in the room behind the front desk.

We stayed at the Baymont last year and are likely to stay there again this year. We liked it just fine.

As Trek said it's a couple miles away. It's pretty much all no-traffic to extremely-low-traffic biking, including this cool little ramp up to a separated-from-traffic pedestrian & bike bridge across the river.

We ate at Arris' Pizza which is a solid little place up a short hill a couple blocks from the hotel.

We just stayed at the Capital Plaza this week before we departed. They have a Katy Trail package with breakfast and waters to go. It was an alright place. Beds were firm and the eggs were disappointing. But plenty of fruit, yogurt, and pastries. The connivence factor was worth it.

Stayed at the Capital Plaza two weeks ago with the Katy Trail package also, we had our bikes in our room, everything was very nice!

Stayed at the Baymont recently and would recommended it. They let us take the bikes up the elevator to the room. Really nice breakfast in the morning. Easy to get to with the trail spur and bike lane over the bridge.
