Tandem on the trail

Anyone ride the trail with a tandem bicycle? My wife and I just bought one, and want to build up some miles for the long rides. Is there a lot of problems around the bigger cities with crimes on the trail or is it all good to ride?

We rode the whole trail on our tandem and enjoyed every minute of it. Not much down time on pedaling, but we enjoyed the scenery and all the town's along the trail. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

I've never had any trouble whatsoever riding end-to-end. I don't leave my bike unattended unless I lock it up. That just seems common sense anywhere...not just along the KATY. I've found people range from very polite and friendly to bored and non-engaged with my ride...but never aggressive nor hostile.
