Most everything is open and available up through Halloween at least.

Get your reservations for the Eastern end early because you are entering the time of all the Fall events. And if going B&B you will be expected to pay for two nights during that time for a weekend stay.

Agree. Many of the towns on the eastern end have some kind of festival(s)...especially in September and October.
