I planning to take the train from Kirkwood to Sedalia on 9 June, but I read on Amtrak's website, due to construction on the tracks, that they will be transferring everyone to buses at Jeff City. Has anyone experience this with Amtrak? I'm worried about my bike being shoved into the bottom of a bus. thanks in advance.

If you read carefully, you'll note that this schedule change does not apply to your proposed travel date. Furthermore, only the morning trains are impacted.

"Effective on Friday, May 16 through Tuesday, May 20, 2014; Sunday, June 1 through Sunday, June 8, 2014; and Monday, June 16 through Saturday, June 21, 2014"
