Hooray! The previous owners of the Hartsburg Grand Restaurant -- before it became an events center -- are opening a new restaurant at the old Dotty's location: 35th on Main. I am so looking forward to my rides from Jefferson City for delicious flatbreads, etc., a glass of wine or a cold beer. Check it out.

Mixed feelings on this. The Grand had great food but I much more enjoyed the small town diner vibe of Dotty’s. That said, I’m glad the new owners are providing a food option in Hartsburg. I wish them well.

From my visiting with them Jim, I think they will provide a nice hybrid of both.... I think the small town vibe will definitely still be there...

All I can make of it from the original post is that a new restaurant is opening. I'd have to see it before passing judgement.

I wasn’t passing judgement on the new place. I was comparing the Grand with Dotty’s and saying which I preferred. I have no idea what the new place will be like but I do know I plan on eating there.
