I often ride the Katy Trail on day trips, and have been wanting to expand to longer distances, and overnight trips. My problem is that I have a fear of crossing the trail at places like 94 & Defiance- near Klondike Park. That curve in the road you have to cross is double blind and motorists travel at high speeds. I pretty much always just turn around rather than risk my life crossing. For those that have traveled most of the Katy Trail- are there more optimal stretches to bike that do not cross dangerous roadways?
