I have always wanted to ride the Katy Trail from St Louis to Kansas City non-stop. This is the year it has worked out but I understand now that much of the trail is flooded and/or closed. Is it still possible to make it from Manchens to Pleasant Hill utilizing the trail and following detours? Just wondering if it's even possible to attempt, even if it adds extra mileage.

Mark, your trail ride will be mostly a road/highway ride at this point. About 100 miles of the trail are closed, including one continuous 60-mile stretch. I'd suggest a Clinton-to-Pleasant Hill ride, which should be completely open.
