Drove on over to Hermann yesterday and did some quick exploring/recon this morning. You can make it with no issues 16 miles from trail entry off Hwy 19 before the trail is completely engulfed; basically a mile past Portland. Unfortunately I was time constrained and didn’t have a chance to check more than about 2 miles to the east.

Yessir, Doug. Hope you made it off the road before it got too hot! I’m back home now after 3 good days and 200 miles of the Katy. I’ll be back with some buddies next time.
