Best Western Inn in Sedalia

I think things have changed a bit since the posts in 2014 and 2011. There are few amenities here now. No fitness room, no washer and dryer. The breakfast buffet was basic, but filling. The outside ground floor rooms are small and have a serious housefly issue. But, the room was clean and didn't have strange odors. The bed was firm. Food choices nearby are limited, but varied.

All in all, not a bad place to stay, but expectations should be curbed.

Best western in Sedalia is very nice with comfy beds only complaint is housekeeping pounded on the door at 0800 intentionally to wake me up so I would get checked out so they could clean the room very rude and I expected more from a 100+ per night room :/

We just did a back-and-forth ride between Rocheport and Sedalia and we found that the Best Western was still a great stop to make in Sedalia. We swam in the pool, shot pool, soaked in the hot tub and napped on the pool chairs, finished up with some rousing pinball and then strolled a block to the north to Patricia's, a very nice restaurant. The Best Western breakfast was still good, too. Room was smallish but nice enough; price was right, with AAA discount, staff friendly and helpful. We found directions on this website: exit at State Fair, drift through the neighborhood on Southwest Blvd. and then two blocks east on 32nd St. Easy. By the way, the old neighborhood on the east side of town was not too creepy... we looked worse than the residents. But heed the warnings about Sedalia drivers ... we almost got hit by a pickup running a stop sign at the trail!

The ground floor outside entrance rooms are great...easy access for bikes. They also have an excellent tornado emergency plan that they had to use last Wednesday. Our thoughts and prayers are with the folks in Sedalia as the tornado touched down only 1/2 south of this hotel.

The Best Western is a good place to stay. I would have camped at the Fairgrounds but a huge storm was coming through Missouri when I was there in October 2009. They put me in back although I didn't need to take my bicycle off my truck. The breakfast is included the next morning.

A friend and I stayed there last year while riding the trail. It was a first rate experience. They put us and our bikes up in a ground level room. The hot tub and pool felt great. And I have never seen such an awesome continental breakfast!

This motel is within 1 mile of the first Trailhead (Equestrian Trailhead). You ride south of the trailhead to 32nd street and then left to the motel---corner of 32nd and Limit (65 highway)
