My wife and I arrived at Boone Monument Village after riding 12 miles in a storm. It is a short ride off the trail and well worth the effort. The proprietor, Bernard, had offered to give us a ride the last few miles but we managed to complete the day by bike. Once there, wet and tired, Bernard was gracious in settling us in a very cozy 1860’s era cabin. The property is beautiful and we had the place to ourselves. This a unique, lovely and friendly place to stay a night or two if you have the chance.

We feel like we have stumbled upon one of Missouri’s best kept secrets! Just off the Katy Trail, Boone Monument Village is one of the most unique experiences you will ever find in a “B&B.” From heated and air conditioned teepees and covered wagons to authentic 1700-1800’s log cabins, you will not find a more unique and fun place to rest your head than this. History has not only been preserved here, but shared with all who will take the time to visit. On our five day Katy Trail ride this was the highlight of our trip! An extremely comfortable place to stay in a setting that would be hard to match. If you are riding the trail or looking for a fun place to create memories this location is a must! This deserves more than five stars for sure!

We stayed at Boone Monument Village for three nights and cycled out and back from there. It was delightful. We stayed in a conestoga wagon with our three grandchildren. We all enjoyed cycling on the trail together, but the highlight was coming back to the beautiful village and our comfortable beds in the wagon. Great facility.
