Prefect location for our party of 8. Lots & lots of room, linens, towels, food, comfy beds, easy check-in and clean! Definitely stay again. Walked to Meriwether Cafe to rent bikes- super close to Katy Trail. Lovely town- super quiet and charming.

Great place for a family reunion when the fam likes to cycle. The Clark St. Lodge was large and comfortable for all (6 total) while the upstairs Loft was good for the kids with a kid.

It's 2 blocks from the Katy Trail which is what we really what we came for and had a great time riding, eating, and yaking away. Rocheport is beautiful small town with a bike shop and cafe right on the trail. We'd like to do the trip again in the Fall when the trees are at max color....and it's not 93F.

We completely enjoyed the accommodations at the Clark Street Lodge. We stayed in the Cottage which we liked because there was no stair climbing involved. My boys brought their dirt bikes which they got completely muddy and we were able to wash them off with the outside hose and sprayers. We were able to fit three mountain bikes and 1 dirt bike in the shed so that was a nice bonus. It was also a very comfortable space as we all had our own area for sleeping and hanging out. The kitchen was fully stocked and we had plenty of food provided for breakfast.

This was our third stay at Clark Street Lodge for our craft group. Great accommodations with a large room for crafting. The hosts provide a large selection for our breakfast needs and a full kitchen works well for all our meals. Great location!

The Clark Street Lodge was the PERFECT place for our ladies getaway or “board meeting” as we like to tell our husbands. The lodge was spotless with up to date furnishings and beautiful wooden spiral staircase which led to comfy queen bed. Plenty of towels and bedding. Lots of outlets and mirrors to get ready in the morning. We just loved the big open space with nice furnishings to relax together! Lots of windows to allow natural light in, if you choose. We spent one evening on the large covered front porch just taking in the beautiful scenery. I would give it 5 stars!

We had a wonderful Girl's Retreat at the Clark Street Lodge Loft. It was perfect for the four of us. Very relaxing and we all felt welcome and at home.

If you're looking for a great space for a girls weekend the Clark Street Lodge is wonderful. Plenty of space for everyone and the privacy of your own rental rather than a bed and breakfast. The owners were wonderful, even provided a fan for help sleeping and the name of a fabulous massage therapist in Rocheport.
We had an excellent weekend! Great location too!

We were at the Clark Street Lodge Sept. 14, 2017. Seven in our group. It was absolutely fabulous! Extremely clean, lots of space, very generous self-serve breakfast. We very much enjoyed our stay and just a few blocks from the Katy Trail. Great place to stay!

The Clark Street Lodge Loft was a large, very clean place to rest our weary legs after a long ride. The snacks and breakfast items got us through the next day's ride. The bed in the loft was comfortable but the two sofa hide beds were not.

We regret that your stay on the sofabeds was less than exemplary. As a result, the offenders have been replaced with Serta fold-down beds that are a significant improvement as noted by succeeding guests. Hopefully you can give us a try again in the future!

I have been staying in the Dorms for years so I knew we were in for a treat when I booked a weekend in the Loft at the Clark Street Lodge. The Loft was perfect! All of the School House properties are always spotless and the Loft was no exception. The kitchen was set up with the essentials and had a full size stove and range which allowed us to have a hot breakfast each morning. Plenty of seating to lounge around and watch a ball game and the bed in the loft was very comfortable. My boys both said the fold out beds were comfortable as well. Looking forward to an opportunity to go back!

The lodge is comfortable and clean. Rocheport is a really cute town. We loved the Clark Street Lodge. It slept seven people comfortably with two showers. We were celebrating my sister's milestone birthday and it was a perfect spot to do it. We used the shaded patio, too. The lodge is nicely decorated. We shopped, hiked and went to the winery. I highly recommend it. 5 stars

Met a business colleague from St. Louis at Clark Street Lodge so we'd have a place to work quietly but in a nice setting. The house is super clean and well furnished. Met our expectations, and the breakfast foods were a very nice touch. Thanks for a very sound night's sleep!

Clark Street Lodge met all of our expectations and then some. It is not easy to find lodgings to accommodate a group of 4 middle age men riding the trail but this certainly fit the bill. Mike and Lisa went out of their way to fill our requests for cold refreshments. The Clark Street Lodge would make an excellent choice for multiple couples or small groups. Almost wish our stay was longer.

OK--Signing in from my son's account, so forgive the Minecraft icon!! BUT-wanted to say that we loved our stay at the Clark Street Lodge. We stayed in the upper level of the yellow house, and the hosts had EVERYTHING we would want! Very clean, plenty of towels, toiletries, bedding and pillows. Lots of room too, for people to come and relax. Plus: they provided bagels, muffins, juices, milk, cereal, eggs--all very thoughtful touches. Would give it five stars, and recommend to everyone!

Could you also share your comments on what you saw and enjoyed on your bike ride on the trail?

Anonymous on 04/25/2016 06:52 PM:
Ralph,
It is okay for someone to post here about a stay at a B&B or to review a place to eat, winery, etc. They should not have to feel anyone's wrath because they sounded a bit sugary about it or because they didn't also comment about the trail surface and how they enjoyed the warm spring weather from the seat of their Trucker. Perhaps you need to search the comments here for ride report type posts if that is your interest and let the rest of the posts stand on their own merit without expecting more.

This place is Great!! Very friendly staff and really clean! Very spacious and functional. I enjoyed the amenities like a grill and a fire pit. They spare no expense in furnishings as well. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to stay in a quiet town and have some modern luxury and convienence.

A no cost ad, placed by owner, I bet

Martha Emmons from Paducah on 04/08/2016 09:36 AM:
I'm completely objective. I don't know this propoerty owner, 99Jared or ralph saint louis, but if "Ralph" knows this review is fake then he should say so. If he is only suspicious then it is unfair & mean spirited, if not slanderous, to post such an accusatory statement. At the very least such an inflammatory comment is just as bad as someone slanting a review. I suggest you, Ralph, should examine your conscience as to whether this was a helpful or hurtful post.

Lisa Friedemann from Rocheport on 04/14/2016 05:18 PM:
My husband and I own and operate the Clark Street Lodge. We do not write reviews of our property or pay/bribe any guest to post positive reviews for us on this or any other site.
I know in this Internet age some people think it is OK to post anything they want online in the name of 'free speech' or because they think their comments are anonymous. Perhaps these people should review the definition of Defamation. I've posted it here for convenience:
"Defamation is an area of law that provides a civil remedy when someone's words end up causing harm to your reputation or your livelihood. Libel is a written or published defamatory statement, while slander is defamation that is spoken by the defendant."

It makes me sad that there are people in the world who are so sad, mad, lonely, mean, whatever...that they have to post junk like "Ralph" posted. Really?

I pray you find some peace in your life Ralph.

The Clark Street Lodge Loft is a very cute place to have a girls weekend. There is plenty of room and they provided what we needed for a great stay. The pictures do not do the Loft justice.
