I suggest using your adult skills and looking at google maps to see for yourself. That hotel is almost as far as you can get from Amtrak and not very convenient to the trail. Many riders, including myself, have been pleased with Hotel Bothwell. It is located downtown, near Amtrak, Katy, and dining/coffee/booze. The Bothwell hotel even has a bike wash station located in the alley.

Stayed here with our family this past summer while on the trail. It was so nice and we enjoyed the pool with our 2 year old. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was good and I would definitely recommend!

Front desk lady was so friendly, room was clean, hotel was clean. Had a pool and hot tub but I did not use it. Dining options were limited but I walked to Wal Mart and Applebees.
Breakfast was typical continental, and got me through the morning.

5 Star. Very nice and they took great care of my bike and myself. Breakfast was very good.

Wonderful staff, nicest Comfort Inn I've ever stayed at. Wal Mart is close -- the trail not so close and very confusing in town.

My children and I enjoyed our stay - the people were friendly and the cont breakfast was great. Very economical and close to many restuarants, and a Walmart for those "forgotten" items.
