This place was historic and beautiful. The backyard garden was nice to relax and so was the front porch. Furnishings were very well done and breakfast was delicious. They even provided wine and Gentleman Jack in the evening. I would recommend for a special occasion.

Kris is a wonderful cook / baker.
Her breakfast and afternoon cookies were absolutely delicious.
The bedroom and ensuite were so comfy and cozy.
There was a safe back yard for storing our bikes and a garden to hang out while we waited for check in. Kris very kindly did some laundry for us too.
If you want to have the best cream scone ever, don't miss this B&B!!

Very elegant home! My friends were all jealous just seeing the pictures. The food was a work of art as well as delicious. Very convenient location right off the Trail; could easily stroll around the town. Had a great time here - wish I could have stayed longer.

So no leaving your stinky sweaty bike clothes at the door and being welcomed with proper attire by Wilfred, champagne and finger foods, since it is "high victorian"?

High STREET Victorian... slightly different! They accepted me even with my stinky bike clothes, and helped me stow my bike. And the pile of homemade peanut butter cookies awaiting me upon arrival indicated to me that they understood how hungry I'd be. Their only request - very understandably - was not to wear cleats on their beautiful wood floors.

The only B and B we've ever been to that has asked us to leave early on Sunday morning because they had to go to church.

To Anonymous: Our check out policy and times are posted on our website, and is just an hour earlier on Sundays. We have never asked a guest to leave prior to this stated time.

5 Stars. Took excellent care of me even with showing up early due to storms. Food was wonderful. Less than one block to the trail and way less expensive than others in the area.

I'm not sure I've words enough to truly explain how wonderful our experience at Gene and Kriss's High Street Victorian B & B was. From a beautiful restored home to incredible homemade brownies, breakfast, and cinnamon rolls, not a detail was overlooked. Gene and Kriss are wonderful people, and they certainly understand perfectly how to create an experience for those getting the chance to stay with them.
I've stayed at many locations along the trail, and the High Street Victorian is certainly among the finest I've encountered.

Wow, wow, wow! I expected it to be nice, but my expectations were blown away. For less than I recently spent to stay at a Holiday Inn Express, I got quadruple the fun! Everything was just fantastic. The constant service made us feel, well, special. What sweet people!!! The food was top notch, right down to the coffee in the elegant silver and glass carafe, and well... I don't want to spoil any surprises for anyone, but everything was just wonderful. I certainly plan to return. Thanks guys!
