Great place to stay while cycling the Katy Trail. The new(ish) indoor shower/bathroom is really nice, also has an outdoor shower and an outhouse. They will let you set up your tent in the barn if you want too. Camp host Andrew was very helpful and friendly.

Stayed here September 29, 2023. We camped and there is plenty of room to set up tents. A quiet area outside of town, off the road and quick access from trail located about 1/4 mile off trail on Sacajawea Road. We arrived in the afternoon of a warm day and set our tent up in the shade of the barn and it provided much needed shade after a long ride. We were greeted by the self-proclaimed campground host Andy and he showed us the grounds and how to access everything. New bathhouse with running water with toilet, sink, indoor shower and an amazing outdoor shower with HOT water and lots of pressure. There is a power outlet at the barn and a water spigot with potable water there as well as well as an outhouse and trashcans. The barn also has a covered porch with several chairs, a large round picnic table and a grill available for use. BP gas station a quick <2 mile ride down Sacajawea near 65 Highway with cold drinks and snacks. There are a few full-time camper residents there and they were very friendly and invited us to their weekend campfire. There are also several spots to set up campers with elec/sewer. The owner had me text her when we arrived and she showed up about 15 minutes later and was very nice and accommodating. Very reasonable for camping and the new showerhouse was a welcome surprise. A perfect spot for us after a 62 mile day from Pleasant Hill.

Stayed at Lazy Liz campground recently on a Katy ride. Overall good experience. No shower or flush toilets. No food nearby and the ride from the trail in Sedalia is 2+ miles. A young military guy was very generous and took me to get food. The campground owner also contacted me even though she was out of town. Nice shaded seating area and good campsites. Bargain at $10.

If your thinking you should have been a cowboy then this is the place for you about a mile off the trail and a few miles before or after Sedalia depending j stayed there last night and it was awesome only 10 dollars for a tent camp with electric and water and restrooms it’s all on the honor system just fill out the card and leave it in the outhouse yes outhouse box :) and if you want bring your horse too there in the process of building a shower house Great relaxing place to stay and sit around the fire and listen to the coyotes howling I loved it :)

If you are looking for that old time hospitality this is the place. Beautiful and quite place where the Trails End Rider's hang out pond the day of the state fair parade. Very comfortable and very great people who make sure your every need is meant. If you are looking for a place that shares your love of horses just load them up and bring them along. Just over the field and past the tree line is the Katy trail. Love this place and the owners, we will be booking our next stay early.
