If you want to experience a true slice of what makes Missouri great, roll through Sedalia during the Missouri State Fair.
Livestock competitions, agriculture exhibits, big-name musical entertainment, carnival rides, food, tractor pulls, rodeo,
motorcycle races... There's something for everyone at this annual celebration of Americana.
The Katy Trail passes through the southern edge of the State Fairgrounds. Don't expect to find a camp site or hotel room
unless you have reserved in advance. But even if you're not spending the night, you can get in a full day of fun before continuing down the trail.
We're talking about Missouri in August, so be prepared for the heat.
