Scenic Cycles (Marthasville)

Scenic Cycles is no longer open for business. If you call their number you call will be forwarded to Revolution Cycles in Washington. They offer great service and will even meet you at Marthasville or Dutzow trailheads. Need to get to Washington? They can pick up as many as four cyclists and eqipment and will take you there for $25 or $30.

My daughter and I biked the trail in July, with my husband as support in the car. My daughter's bike broke and we ended up at Revolution Cycles. They were great. The problem was hard to fix. The guy wasn't sure he could get it repaired. But he did, and it only took about an hour. We were very happy with the results.

Scenic Cycles is closed from what I've heard. I was told that Revolution Cycles over in washington bought them out.

On our mid-June trek, we wanted to stop at Scenic Cycles, but as the information indicates,
the storefront where they originally were is quite empty. I also did not notice a shop between
Marthasville and Dutzow. I would advise those at Scenic Cycles to put up some signage near
the trail advertising its wares, as we definitely would have stopped.

Stopped by on a Saturday morning only to discover store was closed. Found out in the next town that store closed down. I was looking forward to the New Orleans Snowball.

Sorry, got this place mixed up with Augusta Bicycle. Scenic Cycles appears to still be in business, but only on the weekend.

I was grateful to get to a shop--my pump had broken a couple of days earlier. Nice little
setup with camping area. The woman who helped me, however, was passive-aggressive
and pushed a lot of "sale" merchandise on me. Next time I'll take my chances and ride on
to Augusta.
David from Springfield on 07/14/2006 01:24 PM:
Actually, pushing sale merchandise isn't being passive aggressive; it is simply being a salesperson.

The owner of Scenic is a wonderful man. It is no longer in Marthasville. In actuality it is a mile
or two east. They moved to a farm with the shop. They have the shop and areas for cyclists to
camp.
