Matson camping?
JMBinOK from BA on 02/03/2018 04:36 PM:
Katy Trail State Park map says there is a camping in Matson, this website does not. Anyone know for sure? Thanks in advance

Camping in Matson is listed in State Park info probably due to the proximity to Klondike Park, which is about 3 1/2 miles west.

This site shows camping in Augusta probably due to the proximity to Klondike Park, which is about 2 1/2 miles east.

No camping in either community, but at the park between the two.

If biking to a bed and breakfast on the trail, how can I find a list of places to park overnight where I won't be towed?

Please respond to jkinney@metrotilekc.com

Thanks

I just called the DNR (1-800-334-6946), and they said overnight parking is permitted at the trail heads. You just aren't allowed to be on the trail at night.

Since parking is allowed at all trailheads, will it be SAFE to leave my vehicle parked at the Weldon Spring trailhead from late Friday afternoon until early Sunday afternoon?

Went by on a Saturday morning. Only had soda vending machine & bike pump outside. Was hoping to find someone to get change, but was out of luck.
